Multi project wafer (MPW) runs are a common practice within the semiconductor ecosystem. Universities, R&D centres and start ups, which usually only need a few prototypes and operate with tight budgets, take advantage of this service to obtain devices at an affordable entry point. Now, Graphenea partners with the 2D Experimental Pilot Line (2D-EPL) to offer an MPW run with a novel process flow.
Graphene Flagship’s annual conference, Graphene Week, will take place at Gothia Towers in Gothenburg, Sweden, on 4 to 8 September 2023. The event will mark the 10-year anniversary of the Graphene Flagship and announces the results of a highly anticipated economic impact report.
The 2D Experimental Pilot Line (2D-EPL), a project grown from the Graphene Flagship, has launched its first customisable wafer run. As one of five multi-project wafer (MPW) runs, this first phase targets sensor applications. Companies, universities and research institutes can include their designs as dies on joint wafers, to test their ideas for devices on a larger scale at relatively low costs.
Graphene Flagship and partner Emberion has raised €6 million in funding to further develop their infrared imaging business. Currently, Emberion is one of the leaders in the development of these technologies, enabled by graphene and other layered materials.
Graphene Flagship Associated Member Grapheal showcases their awarded graphene-enabled products at CES 2022 tradeshow in Las Vegas.
The successful FLAG-ERA projects will expand the current research on graphene and related materials and the collaborations within the Graphene Flagship to develop new graphene-enabled innovations.
Graphene Flagship scientist Xinliang Feng shares his views on the future of graphene and our project with us. Today, we interview Xinliang Feng, the Graphene Flagship Leader for Functional Foams and Coatings. Feng joined our project at the very beginning of our ramp-up phase, when researchers throughout Europe were sharing ideas and shaping the structure of one of the most ambitious endeav
Funded by the European Commission, this €20 million project will enable large volume production of electronic devices based on two-dimensional materials.
Graphene Flagship experts unite to tackle the effects of present and future pandemics with technologies based on graphene and related materials. We have assembled a targeted and multidisciplinary group, comprising companies and researchers from across the European consortium
Graphene Flagship Associated Member Atomic Mechanics is designing, manufacturing and commercialising a range of sensor devices with applications in robotic surgery equipment.
The Graphene Pavilion, organised by the Graphene Flagship and supported by the European Commission and GSMA, is returning to Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2019 with over 20 graphene-based prototypes, four of which are developed by the Graphene Flagship partner ICFO, based in Barcelona. These technologies aim to turn mobile phones into life saving devices.
Graphene Flagship researchers develop a new sensor that records brain activity at extremely low frequencies and could lead to new treatments for epilepsy
